Dear visitor,

We at Parke County Haunts are not professional investigators.  We are trained in no discipline to qualify us as professional scientists or investigators.  We are paranormal enthusiasts.  We have had experiences in our lifetimes that we cannot explained... experiences that we cannot explain, not experiences that can not be explained.  On this site you will find a record of our expeditions into places where people have reported unexplained things or where we feel the history of the location makes it a likely place for unexplained things to appear.  We visit these places because we enjoy doing so, it is our hobby.  We record our visits using various pieces of equipment in hopes that they reveal something out of the ordinary.  Some times they do, most of the time they do not.  Unlike most paranormal organization we will not preach to you about our "scientific methods".  Although we try to have a method to our hunts and investigations they do not meet the requirements to be called scientific.  Please keep in mind while viewing these pages that there is no proven correlation between photographic anomalies such as orbs, mists,  streaks, etc. and "ghosts".  Strange voices recorded on tape or other media are often "fuzzy" at best and their messages rarely agreed upon by two people unless prompted to what someone thinks they are saying.  Even faces or figures caught on video or photograph could just be the product of imagination.  And despite what you have read on a hundred other paranormal sites, there is absolutely no evidence of a connection between electromagnetic fields and "ghosts".  If you are a firm believer that ghosts do not exist, you will find nothing here that will change your mind.  If you a firm believer in ghosts, nothing debunked will change you mind either.  However, if you are open minded enough to the possibility of life after death, an afterlife that sometimes bleeds over into the realm of the living than I hope you find this site entertaining and enjoyable.  If you are a hardcore believer in ghosts nothing here, or anywhere else, that will confirm your beliefs.  If you are a hardcore skeptic you'll find nothing here that you can not debunk or discredited - and yes I think you're probably right.  But that doesn't lessen what we do.  We have met and made some very good friends through our paranormal outings.  Our methods and findings may never be validated, but that does not invalidate our friendships and fellowship we have had through our endeavors.  If ghosts do or do not exists maybe someday someone will find evidence one way or the other... until then, please relax and enjoy the efforts of the gang at Parke County Haunts.
